''Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.''--John 14:6. This has to be the Christian clergy's favorite biblical passage. The only way to God is through Jesus Christ and the only way to Jesus is through the church. The Christian church has interpreted this to mean that the church is the bride of Jesus. Hence, they have made their views the view of God, rather than making God's views their view. The Christian church exists not to empower you, but to belittle you, and to empower themselves. Therefore you are a no good worthless sinner from the very first breath you took as a new born baby. This is their concept of original sin. ''And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.''--Genesis 1:31. The Christian scriptures, particularly the gospels, are composed of a series of disparate verses which were arranged in a manner to give the reader the impression that there is some sort of continuous narrative about a man who was crucified for you, the reader's sake. There is no chronological order to these verses, and in each gospel they appear in a different order. In order to better understand the scriptures therefore it is important to decompose them, and reorganize them in a manner revealing their true meaning. There must be millions of people who go to church every Sunday and carry big Bibles around with them who have never read a single passage on their own, and if they have, they have taken the stories literally. So, instead they rely upon there ministers to cherry pick verses which best fit their purpose. These literal interpretations have nothing to do with the true meaning of the Bible. Rather, the Bible is an attempt to explain the otherwise unknowable via the means of allegory. While the stories are allegorical many of the verses have deep underlying meanings which are glossed over by mainstream Christianity. Here There and Everywhere Scientists have literally explored every possible sector of reality from the smallest particles to vast breadth of space, and they have been totally unable to reach any conclusion about reality other than to claim that it is a glorious accident. Physicists have examined every particle down to the smallest in existence and they have still been unable to come up with an explanation for the meaning of life. Meanwhile evolutionists and neuroscientists have explored every possible region of the brain and still they are baffled as to the origins of reality. Just this morning I was working on my computer searching the web. I came across a beautifully designed website with interesting photos and graphics. Every time I clicked a link I was sent to an equally beautifully designed web page. Finally, I had enough and decided that I would find this beautiful website. So, I got my screw driver and removed the back from my computer. At last I would finally be able to find where this beautiful website resided, but much to my dismay all I found were cables and a bus holding circuit boards. There was nothing that even remotely resembled any website, let alone this beautiful website that had caught my eye. You see computer graphics do not have a physical home. They reside only in cyberspace. However, when it comes to reality our scientists have only discovered the hardware of reality. They don't even have the foggiest notion that such a thing as software even exists. In our case the advent of the computer age started with the hardware and then software and cyber space were developed. Now imagine an instance where the programs and cyberspace came into being before the hardware. That is the case with reality. Religion has its followers believing that the creator of this beautiful website resides either somewhere on that website or some other website in cyberspace. However, we know that the creator of this and all websites exists separate and apart from the reality that they created. Now, it is possible for a web designer to create interactive script pages that make it seem like the website itself has interactive creative abilities. This is much like reality. You can slice and dice and fillet the brain into the tiniest pieces, and yet never find one thought, idea, or dream for that matter. Much like Christ, none of these products of the mind reside in physical reality. They are creations of your imagination, and when I say imagination I do not mean they are make- believe. They are real but do not reside in physical reality. During the middle of the third century BCE the Egyptian city of Alexandria, Egypt was populated by Greeks and Hellenized Jews who began translating the books known as the Torah into what is today known as the Pentateuch or the first five books of the Bible. This translation continued into the second century for the rest of the Old Testament. This translation is known as the Septuagint, and is the only early version of the Old Testament available today outside of fragments from the Dead Sea Scrolls. If you find a Hebrew copy of the Old Testament it is more than likely not original, but was translated back to Hebrew from the Septuagint. Continued Table of Contents |
