The Devil Made Me Do it
Since its inception religion has played on the guilt of its adherents by instilling in them the fear of divine retribution by some unseen god. Christianity is no different. In order to frighten people into following their false edict they invoked the aid of their best friend, the devil. "And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers."--Luke 11:46. Under Jewish law the priests served more like lawyers in today's judicial system then as modern day priests. Lawyers, then refer to members of the priesthood, who interpreted the word of God which was the law. What do you think Jesus thought about the clergy and organized religion? Unless you believe that 'woe' is a good thing then you have to realize that Jesus obviously did not approve of their methods.

According to Helena Petrovna Blavatsky the devil is the patron genius of theological Christianity. The dogma of the church has been the pretext for slaughtering over 50 million people since the words were first proclaimed 'love your enemies.' "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,"--Revelation 12:7. Here once again we have a reference to the ongoing internal battle between the carnal mind and the spirit.

"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."--Revelation 12:9. We have already defined the serpent as the spinal column and the primitive brain or the natural animal instinct which exists in all people. Satan can be defined as the dark side of nature which Blavatsky referred to as a necessary shadow. You must have darkness for there to be light. In other words this idea of the devil is nothing more than a natural antagonism which creates balance and harmony and has nothing to do with evil.

"And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived."--Numbers 21:8, 9. Now, we have all been taught that the serpent is evil and is equated with the devil, but it was God who told Moses to create the serpent without which man could not survive. Can we equate this serpent with the ego? "And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did."--2Kings 18:3. "He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan."--1Kings 18:4. Here is a little contradiction for you. God told Moses to build the serpent, but who is telling Hezekiah to destroy that which God had instructed Moses to build? Here you have the very antagonism that Blavatsky has spoken about, and it comes not from the devil, but from God. The serpent tribe of Palestine was the Hivites, according to Joshua they lived in the hilly region of Lebanon, and the Levites were the serpent tribe of Israel who were the ministers of the temple. "But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it:"-Numbers 1:50

"Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD's side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour. And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men."--Exodus 32:26-28. These are the caretakers of the temple who were responsible for doing this.

"And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel."--1Chronicles 21:1. Here David takes a census of Israel at the bequest of Satan. "And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he smote Israel."--1Chronicles 21:7. Now, let's see if there actually exists a difference between God and Satan. "And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah."--2Samuel 24:1. Here God instructs David to do the very same thing that Satan had instructed him to do. Here we have God and Satan acting in concert, but Christianity would have you believe that these two divergent forces are two distinctly different beings. "And David said unto God, I have sinned greatly,"--1Chronicles 21:8. Here David apologizes to God for his actions.

Now, get this: "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."--Isaiah 45:7. God's power is neither good nor evil. It is you who determine how the power is used and what is good and what is evil.

"Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee."--Revelation 3:9. This is one of those seemingly anti-Semitic passages which at a glance seems to condemn the Jews, but wait. What is being said is that those who outwardly claim to be Jews, but are driven by the carnal mind are not really Jews. The use of the word feet is just another reference to the lower mind. This has nothing to do with Judaism. So then, who is a Jew?
