Are We to Understand the Bible Literally?
"Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all."--Galatians 4:24-26. Allegory is the use of personified names and myth to demonstrate real scientific principles, and mother refers to the part of the brain known as pia mater or tender mother. "For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ."--2Corinthians 2:17. "Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself."--1Timothy 6:5. This verse clearly shows that the authors of the scriptures did not believe that personal gain or worldly success meant that one was viewed more favorably by God. You will find this same view expressed among the Essene.

"For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia" The usage of Agar, in Galatians, is just a variant spelling of Hagar who was the handmaid of Sarah in Ur of the Chaldees which resides in the carnal or lower mind. Unfortunately, there were two distinctly different locations known as Ur; the first a region in northern Arabia which is now part of southern Iraq near the city of Basra, and the second located near Haran in northern Iraq which is where it is believed that Abraham lived. Here the Apostle Paul leads us in the right direction, away from the superficial physical interpretation of the Bible and into the mental aspect of the scriptures. Here Jerusalem represents the right hemisphere of the cerebrum which, unlike the carnal mind, is not bound by the ancient laws and traditions of man. Jeruel means vision of God and Salem means peace. When the Bible talks about God and heaven what they actually are referring to is the third brain or cerebrum.

Abraham lived in Ur not because he was a nomadic herdsman eventually on his way to Israel, but because the Chaldees is where the Jewish scriptures originated. "...the Old Testament is the stolen history of Chaldea and Egypt...The Jews have no history--or what may be termed real history--as a people, anterior to about 450 B.C." -- J.M. Roberts, 'Antiquity Unveiled', testimony of Saadias-Gaon.

Now, the term Chaldees refers to a civilization that did not yet exist during the time of Abraham, circa 2-3000 BCE, but did exist at the time that the biblical passages were written, circa 500-600 BCE. This will be covered a little later in the narrative. It is commonly interpreted that Abram migrates from Ur to modern day Israel, but this, like so many deceptive passages in the Bible, refers to Abraham raising his level of consciousness and not some geographical locations. "Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar."--Genesis 16:1. The reference is to the lowest level of the carnal mind or Egypt, and what does Abram do with Hagar? He fornicates. "And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes."--Genesis 16:4. "And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God."--Genesis 17:8. Now, to most Bible interpreters this means ancient Israel, but esoterically Canaan means lowland, that is, the body consciousness, or subconscious in this instance spirit. Let us just call Canaan the "Promised Land", or the right hemisphere of the brain where the tribe of Judah dwells.

"Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate."--Isaiah 47:1. "Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms."--Isaiah 47:5. "But after that our fathers had provoked the God of heaven unto wrath, he gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this house, and carried the people away into Babylon."--Ezra 5:12. "And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans."--Jeremiah 22:25.

"And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you."--Genesis 17:9-11. Here is where the Hebrew scripture run amok, for whoever wrote this did not fully understand the true meaning of circumcision. According to Thomas (53) "His disciples said to him, "Is circumcision beneficial or not?" He said to them, "If it were beneficial, their father would beget them already circumcised from their mother. Rather, the true circumcision in spirit has become completely profitable." Here find Thomas claiming that if God wanted the foreskin removed they would have been born that way. "To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it."--Jeremiah 6:10. This verse gives a whole new meaning to the word circumcision. The true biblical meaning has nothing to do with genital mutilation and everything to do with cutting yourself away from the ideas and blather coming from the carnal mind. Here Jeremiah laments that there is no one in the priesthood that he can speak to as they are all carnally minded. These verses clearly demonstrate the division between the priesthood and the prophets.

"To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women."--Luke 1:27, 28. Why is Mary favored by the Lord? Because Mary represents the virgin mind, and how is Mary impregnated? Mary is impregnated through the ear by the WORD of God. "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."--Matthew 11:15. Likewise Mary Magdalene is depicted as a whore because she represents the carnal mind.

How do we know that Paul is talking about the temple worshippers and not the meditators? If you read my previous book 'The Mystery of Jesus Christ and the False Messiah' you will learn that, contrary to what the Christian churches tell us, Paul was a member of the Essene community, and they were the Jews who had incorporated Eastern Mysticism into their religious beliefs. They were also the primary adversaries of the temple worshipping animal sacrificing Pharisee.

"the Lord contrived all things symbolically and by a dispensation toward men, for their conversion and salvation."--Acts of John (102)

"To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings."--Proverbs 1:6. The Bible is not a literal book, dark sayings are those with hidden meanings which require interpretation to understand their true meaning. "To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;"--Proverbs 1:2.

"All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world."--Matthew 13:34, 35. "Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?"--Ezekiel 20:49. These are the only mentions of parables in the Old Testament. "I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:"--Psalm 78:2. "But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples."--Mark 4:34. This is just another of the numerous parallels between Mark and Matthew that clearly demonstrates that much of Matthew was copied from Mark.

"Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life."--2Corinthians 3:6. I cannot emphasize this passage from 2Corinthians enough. The message to Christians, don't follow the scriptures literally, but they still don't listen. They still follow the scriptures as if they were literally true and not allegory. Just look at what has transpired in the Middle East, and the whole world, for God only knows how long. "For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."--Matthew 13:15. People are unable to comprehend the true meaning of the scriptures. They can read the scriptures, attend church and pray as hard they can and nothing will happen.

"Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?"--Jeremiah 2:5. Jeremiah is mocking the purely physical display of the religious with their pompous dress and human rules and traditions as opposed to true simple Godly devotion. What is it about me that you find offensive? In church you dress up, sing songs, pray, bake cookies, give money to charity, you do everything, but devote time to God. Jesus never told you to go to church, or for that matter to worship him.

"Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?"--Jeremiah 2:6. Egypt refers to the carnal mind which is desolate.

"And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination. The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit."--Jeremiah 2:7, 8. Here God is saying that I gave you everything and you screwed it up with your own ideas. The priests and pastors did not seek and were not acquainted with the Lord and transgressed against me. So, here Jeremiah is telling you that the clergy which claim to be the only ones knowledgeable to interpret the scriptures are not qualified. What they do is interpret them to their own benefit. They have their parishioners worshipping a god that does not exist and therefore does them no good. "The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider."--Isaiah 1:3. Even dumb farm animals are more in touch with their master than the people of Israel, and they are as stubborn as the ass and won't even consider that they are wrong. "Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward."--Isaiah 1:4. "And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood."--Isaiah 1:15.

I included these verses to refute the silly claim by the early church fathers that Gnosticism was somehow a second century heresy. Here we find that as early as c 500 BCE Jeremiah is claiming that the Jewish clergy had altered the original focus of the religion away from the mind toward the material aspects of the carnal mind and had as a result shut out the only real God of creation.

It was during the second century, when pagan priests began to align with the new Orthodox Christian regime that the Church began to take shape. With them these priests brought all the tools of deception common to religion, and in so doing made the so-called people of the new covenant even worse than the Jews of the old covenant. In other words it is Orthodox Christianity which is the real heresy and not Gnosticism. Later we will cover many of the abuses that Jesus found among the Temple worshippers and the Pharisaic priesthood. Tell me has anything really changed other than the name of the religion. The religion you today call Christianity has little to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Nazoreans and everything to do with the Pharisee and the Romans. When you go to an automobile dealership you learn everything there is to know about the car you wish to buy. You learn about its safety records, its accident records, you learn about the cars fuel efficiency, you learn about the life expectancy of the car, and if you do your due diligence you also learn a thing or two about the dealership. I wonder just how many of you have ever posed the question to your ministers of just what percentage of their parishioners wind up in heaven. Well, Jesus answers that question. None!

"Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit."--Jeremiah 2:11. Jeremiah is referring to the religious people who have forsaken entering in during meditation with the real God for outward signs of religiosity, faith and prayer to a god that does not exist. If we are to believe the dates given for Jeremiah then he predated the Pharisee by more than a few centuries.
